SEISS Open for Business.

The UK government’s scheme to support the self-employed has today opened for claims – weeks ahead of schedule.

From 8am this morning self-employed people or members of partnerships whose business has been adversely affected by coronavirus will be able to apply for a Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grant worth 80% of their average monthly trading profits

Furlough scheme Extended!

The furlough scheme has been extended to 31st October 2020 taking pressure off small businesses with employees still being entitled to 80% of their usual pay.

It has not however been made clear what amount of this 80% the employer will be able to reclaim. It is likely that from July onwards there will be a cost to the employer if they continue to furlough any employees.

Further information to follow.
